I'm pretty sure you used the Unlocker v1. And the Unlocker thread (it's linked in the Megathread) clearly tells you what to do in both cases - when Origin updates and when we get a new DLC. So just do what it says. hello, I tried to use that tools, but the dlc still not working.
Hero. @Caitlinxzz Can you download the packs through Origin? Open your game library, click on the Sims 4 icon (probably the one with the Steam logo on it), select More > Expansion Packs, and click the Download button for any pack you own. Repeat for More > Game Packs and Stuff Packs.
Repairing the content. Now that steam has the DLC packs in its directory, we need to "Repair" the content. Go into your Origin browser and look for the Sims 4 Game Icon with Steam on it and click it. Now click on the Settings icon beneath the play button and choose "Repair". Once you click that, steam will open and start downloading an update
I've tried restarting the app, the laptop, uninstalling and reinstalling on EA, I took out my mods and the problem still persists. When I went to originally uninstall I found that there were 2 versions of sims 4 on my laptop, one from EA and one from Steam so I uninstalled the EA one however its still showing as installed on both EA and Steam.
yup! turns out the folder isn't really necessary. to open the sims with all your dlc just go offline and click on the sims 4 icon on your desktop, once you load up your save file you can go back online. if you can't use your dlc for whatever reason, check your dlc updater (the cmd window) and see if it tells you if you need to install it again. 1.
2. tylermsage. • 4 mo. ago. In case it helps anyone else, what worked for me was launching via steam in desktop mode then alt-tabing into the ea app that was open at the bottom right. Then click the 3 dots on sims 4, manage add-one, and click download on the add-ons you need added.
